With DVD subtitles simply do not work

TMT6 has normal appearance or something mimicking a Modern UI (Metro) App (but it's really still desktop). To get the normal version the command line must have -Metro added. If you associate TMT6 with a file extension from Windows Explorer there is no way to add this parameter so it will always try to play the file in the Metro style. This is bad enough but if started as Metro mine just makes one or two of the error "bong" sounds and starts playing a DVD and not the file. In fact file playback is very flaky indeed.

The only thing fixed is that playing DVDs with Nvidia GPU acceleration and SIMHD On no longer green screens - but still no auto refresh rate switching.

This can all be found in a fairly short time - sounds like lack of testing of TMT6.

DVD subtitles were working in the internal builds I tested as recently as last week. Something must have slipped in at the last moment and gotten by QA. I just installed the release build today myself...

I've noticed a number of other fixes as well, like YouTube and the previously horrific pink/green MKV subs being black/white now.

It also adding a very noticeable 20-30 secs to the normal rapid W8 start.

Uninstalled.

Yes, hoping for a quick fix for the delayed win8 start, TMT bugs shouldn't al least screw up other parts of the system. Cry
This version seems to be essentially the same as version 5, wondering what should be new about it (personally only using desktop apps)?

The DVD issue has been resolved with a running change to the 119 release package. If you downloaded it prior to the update (ie, the first day or so) you can just uninstall and redownload the trial to get the fix.

Are you saying there are two different 119 packages?  Surely ArcSoft would not do that.
